New name better reflects ever-evolving industry
(August 29, 2012, Youngstown, Ohio) A longstanding regional business communications company located in Youngstown has changed its name to better reflect the wide spectrum of innovative services and products it now provides. PTNE Telecom will now be known as Perigee Business Technologies.
“In 1993, when we launched PTNE, Inc. (Parallel Technologies Northeast), business communications requirements were pretty much limited to landline phone systems and voicemail,” says Sava. “Today, voice, IT and video are all critical communications tools for a company to remain competitive.”
He says his company has always quickly adapted to changes in the industry, pointing out that it was one of the first to adopt today’s standard of Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
In addition to VoIP, Perigee now provides a wide array of business technologies including video conferencing, network services, security cameras, door access controls, public address systems and WiFi networks.
With the increased number of systems and options now available, more emphasis is placed on consulting with the customer states Sava. He insists he wants to know everything possible about a customer’s operation early in the conversation. “We don’t offer cookie-cutter systems, so we help customers create a custom, integrated system that will grow with their needs and keep them competitive,” he says.
Sava serves on the board of the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber and is a commissioner of the Trumbull County MetroParks. Additionally, he sits on the dealer advisory board of Samsung Telecommunications of America.
Perigee Business Technologies’ main office is located in Youngstown at 1112 N. Meridian Road in Youngstown.
